Care Manager
We are pleased to announce the appointment of the new Rest Home Care Manager.
Cristie Allado has been appointed and will start her new role on Monday 29 November.
Cristie has been employed at Te Hopai since March 2013.
Initially employed as a senior care giver she then completed her Nursing assessment and has been one of our Registered Nurses for the past 6 years. Cristie was appointed one of our weekend supervisors for the facility and has performed this role for the last 3 years. She has worked across the facility in her years here so may be known to many of our Residents and their families.
Christie is currently enjoying a planned break with her family prior to starting with the Rest Home. She is married to Bengie, a senior care giver in the Hospital wing and they have a 5 year old daughter. They have been very loyal and committed members of the Te Hopai family and we are pleased this will continue into the future.

“Care Manager, a position I never imagined I would have. Until this opportunity knocked and Jill, my manager, as well as many of my colleagues and staff encouraged me to apply. In my time at Te Hopai, I have grown professionally and been presented with numerous opportunities which I am thankful for.
I have dealt with a variety of families, formed a bond with my residents, and gained the respect of my staff and colleagues. I am happy not just for the new role I am taking but very grateful for those people who saw the potential in me. It is rewarding to know the people I work alongside every day have noticed my capability of being an effective and efficient leader and are happy to support my promotion.
