Chair welcomes new Trustees 2022

Dean Riddell Te Hopai Chair welcomes three new Trustees to the Board:

 

Cheryl Goodyer

Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Ranginui

Principal advisor Māori NZ Nursing Council

Previously Capability Manager Māori Health Development Group and other Māori health roles CCDHB 2004 – 2021

Extensive experience in Te Ao Māori

Dip Medical Laboratories

Cheryl looks forward to bringing her medical experience to the Te Hopai Board and aiding our care and responsibilities under the Ministry of Health Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standard

 

Mike Smith

CEO Cancer Society since 2012

CA qualified

Previous Board experience at Caritas Oceania (Catholic Justice League) and School Trustee. In Mike's current role he has been instrumental in finding alternative sources of income for cancer Society (Hope foundation, regular gifting, bequests)

 

Angelique Jackson

Manager City Housing WCC responsible for over 1900 social housing properties

Previously Head of Client Services and Business operations at Solora who provide in-home healthcare services to ACC clients

Strong business focus, ability to work with disparate groups in emotional circumstances ( councillors, Council, tenants, community groups, mana whenua)

Angelique will be a valuable addition to the Board as we consider the next expansion and development opportunities for Te Hopai

 

The Chair also farewelled Dave Stewart who has served as a Board Trustee for 19 years. Dave will continue to be involved at Te Hopai in his capacity as Managing Director
