Covid19 Update 27 Aug 21

Kia ora koutou

We are positive about the news today and the announcement that Wellington will move to level 3 from Tuesday 31st at midnight.  We hope that Auckland will be able to move in the not too distant future and that the virus is once again contained and beaten by our team of 5 million.

Unfortunately, similar to last year, this does not change our visiting protocols and our guidance from the Ministry of Health and Aged Care is that we remain closed to visitors except in exceptional circumstances.  If we believe you need to be here, then we will get in touch with you personally.

From Wednesday you can drop off items at either reception (these can be left in the foyer or at reception) and we will look to start up the van trips so our residents can have a change of scenery.

Our Activities Co-Ordinator Marianne has attached a lovely page of some activities that were going on today.  Follow this link to view te-hopai-residents.pdf

In addition, following the Frantic Friday Frenzy of last week, we are having a Glamour Friday next week.

We will continue with Skype meetings. To make an appointment, please email  Alicia is at work Sunday – Thursday so you need to contact her on these days to make an appointment. Please include your skype name so we can easily find you and your preferred time.  As we have multiple chrome books, we will send you a wave or message to accept us before the meeting starts.  We have several Te Hopai accounts we use for skype, and will not know which one we are using until the time.

If your resident has their own device, then we are happy to assist them with calling.  Let us know if you want us to help.

I am sure we will all be watching the news closely again next week, and as always we will be in touch with any updates and changes as necessary.
