13 Cheryl Goodyer

 

Cheryl Goodyer (Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Ranginui) is a senior Māori health leader with extensive professional and clinical leadership experience across regulatory, advisory, service delivery and capability building roles in the health sector. She has led and supported systemwide approaches to improving outcomes for Māori, including culturally safe workforce development, patient and whānau-centred service design, and continuous quality improvement. She currently works with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as Principal Advisor Māori, supporting the organization’s focus on equity and culturally safe care.

Outside of work, Cheryl enjoys the grounding and balance that comes from being close to nature and spending time with her whānau.

Cheryl joined the Te Hopai Board in 2022.
