From time to time Te Hopai receives donations from grateful residents and their families. This month the donations were distributed to staff to show appreciation for their hard work, commitment and generous care during the Covid-19 lockdown crisis.
$11,600 was distributed to 100 eligible staff, giving them an extra $116 in their pay to help support them and their families.
During 2019/2020 the following funds have also been distributed to Te Hopai staff.
$15,000 in Apr 20 from one generous private donor, $100 each to eligible staff
$14,890 in Jan 2020, from 22 families, $130 each to eligible staff
$16,650 in Aug 2019, from 23 families, $150 each to eligible staff
$14,000 in Feb 2019, from 20 families $125 each to eligible staff
Eligibility varies depending on the conditions of donations, but typically staff must have worked for 6 months and work over 10 hours per week.
We want to thank all staff for their commitment and hard work, and take a moment to reflect and remember those residents who are no longer with us.
