The NZ Aged care Association NZACA is planning to present the petition to government, demonstrating the groundswell of public support for ensuring our sector is adequately funded to pay our nurses in parity with their peers in public hospitals.
The petition will be presented to the Associate Minister of Health Jenny Salesa on Thursday 6th August, at 9.15am on the steps of Parliament in Wellington.
Health spokespeople from the other major political parties have also been invited to attend.
The petition will be handed over by NZACA CEO Simon Wallace and Frances Hughes - members of the Nursing Leadership Group are also invited to attend.
